Four astronauts are all set to take part in a 685,000-mile historic mission to the moon. The Artemis II rocket launch will etch history, as it will be the first time humans have flown below Earth’s low orbit since the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. Victor Glover is the mission pilot. He is a NASA astronaut and also a US Navy Captain. Victor Glover is the first Black astronaut to stay on the ISS for a long-duration assignment.
Victor Glover was selected as an astronaut in 2013, while serving as a Legislative Fellow in the United States Senate, according to NASA. Victor Glover is all set for the Artemis II mission, which would surely not have been possible without the support of his wife, Dionna Odom Glover. While the astronaut has been focused on his journey to the moon, it is Dionna, behind the scenes, who has supported him greatly.
