The reports claim that the young bride, who got married in February 2026, was being harassed by her husband for additional dowry, which led her to take the drastic step.

Ishita Yadav was a 26-year-old software engineer from Bihar. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the hall of her marital apartment on April 1, 2025. It was her husband, Neeraj Bhansal, who found her and instantly alerted the police after finding her.
