Afrika Bambaataa’s lawyer confirmed that his cause of death was complications from a fatal disease, i.e., prostate cancer. According to TMZ, he passed away at approximately 3:00 am ET. In his final years, Afrika’s public image was negatively impacted by bombshell allegations against him. Amid that, he was quietly fighting a battle against cancer. The exact time period of his ailment’s diagnosis is not known; however, it is estimated to be at least a few months earlier.
