Ranveer Singh was seen attending the last rites of legendary singer Asha Bhosle. The final rites took place at Shivaji Park today, with full state honours. The iconic singer, who passed away at the age of 92, breathed her last on Sunday at Breach Candy Hospital following multi-organ failure. Her mortal remains were subsequently taken to her residence in Lower Parel. Fans, colleagues and family members have been arriving to pay their last respects to the legendary singer.
Ranveer Singh was seen in a white outfit. He entered the venue and met a few of Bhosle’s family members. He was seen standing with folded hands in front of the singer’s mortal remains. Her body has been kept in a glass casket, adorned with white lilies and draped in the tricolour.
Some time back, police personnel conducted a ceremonial gun salute in tribute. Among those who visited to honour her memory were Sachin Tendulkar, Riteish Deshmukh, A. R. Rahman, along with several others.
