Further, in the same interview with Samdish Bhatia, Yograj Singh disclosed the reason why Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar, stopped training under him. For the uninitiated, Arjun trained under Yograj for just 12 days before his first-class debut for Goa. On his debut, he smashed a century and got an offer from the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) side, Mumbai Indians. Since then, he never came back to Yograj for training. Revealing the reason behind it, Yograj Singh said:
“Sachin’s son. He comes here for 12 days and scores a hundred. When he scored a hundred on debut and then returned to IPL, people feared that his (Arjun) name will stick with him (Yograj). Are you understanding my point? I told Yuvi (Yuvraj) to call Sachin and ask him to give me Arjun for a year. See what happens after that.”
