The comedy adventure film Naagzilla, starring Kartik Aaryan is now set to arrive in cinemas on February 12, 2027. The makers confirmed the new release date on Wednesday while unveiling a fresh poster of the film. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who is widely loved for the Fukrey franchise, the film was initially slated for an August 4, 2026 release before being rescheduled.

The film promises an entertaining mix of comedy, adventure and fantasy, built around the fascinating concept of shape shifting snakes rooted in Indian folklore. With a strong production team backing it including Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Neetu M Jain, Naagzilla is being positioned as a big screen spectacle with a quirky, larger than life narrative.
Kartik had first announced the film in April last year with a striking motion poster on Instagram that instantly grabbed attention. The visual featured him in a never seen before avatar, shirtless and intense, standing inside a snake filled lair while looking over a cityscape. Along with it, he shared a playful caption hinting at stepping into the world of naags, teasing fans with a fun, dramatic storyline set in Naag lok and introducing his unusual character.

Meanwhile, the actor has been keeping a relatively low profile after his name surfaced in an online controversy involving alleged chats with a minor on Snapchat. The claims however remain unverified and largely stem from anonymous social media posts, with no official confirmation. On the work front, Kartik was last seen in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, which struggled at the box office despite releasing during the festive Christmas period. The film failed to maintain momentum, especially when compared to his earlier success with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which had performed strongly and connected well with audiences.
