Kapil Sharma is all set to bring back his signature comedy with Daadi Ki Shaadi, a full on family entertainer that already looks like a fun ride. The trailer has dropped, giving a peek into a noisy, chaotic household filled with quirks, drama and plenty of laughs. What’s also grabbing attention is the Bollywood debut of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, stepping into the spotlight alongside a strong ensemble. The trailer has clearly struck a chord, even getting a warm reaction from Alia Bhatt.
It begins with Kapil’s family stressing over his marriage, eventually finding what seems like the perfect match in Sadia Khateeb, smart, graceful and ideal for a joint family setup. But just when things start falling into place, the story flips when Sadia’s grandmother, played by Neetu Kapoor, announces her own wedding plans. This unexpected twist throws everything off track, with Sadia’s family being told to either stop the grandmother’s wedding or forget the alliance altogether.
Trying to fix things in his own chaotic way, Kapil goes all out with his typical Delhi style jugaad, even involving goons to scare off Neetu Kapoor’s groom, played by R. Sarathkumar. But the plan doesn’t quite go as expected. The groom turns out to be anything but easy to intimidate, earning himself the nickname “Tom Cruise” and confidently standing his ground. Things get even messier with Riddhima Kapoor Sahni entering the picture as Neetu’s daughter, adding another layer of confusion as the story spirals into a series of comic twists and surprises.

Directed by Ashish R Mohan, the film brings together a lively cast including Kapil Sharma, Neetu Kapoor, R. Sarathkumar, Teju Kolhapuri, Sadia Khateeb and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. Backed by RTake Studios and BeingU Studios, the film is set for a theatrical release on 8 May. Talking about her experience, Sadia shared, “The experience of shooting this film was the best experience of my life. I am thrilled and happy to be a part of this story. And to be working with people like Neetu ma’am, Kapil Sharma, Aditi Mittal, Riddhima, I only feel grateful because I had a great experience.”
