Producer Firoz Nadiadwala is reportedly expanding his production slate with an exciting new project. While his star-studded Welcome to the Jungle is still in the middle of production, Nadiadwala has moved ahead to sign Tiger Shroff and Shanaya Kapoor for a first-of-its-kind zombie comedy according to a report by Variety India.
The upcoming untitled film will be directed by Ahmed Khan. This project marks another collaboration between Ahmed and Tiger, after their previous work together on major action hits like Baaghi 2, Baaghi 3, and Heropanti 2. Currently, Ahmed Khan is also busy directing Welcome To Jungle.
Both Tiger and Shanaya have reportedly given their nods to the project. According to reports, the team is looking to begin shooting by the end of this year. While the specific plot details are being kept under wraps for now, the movie is being designed as a fresh addition to the Indian comedy scene. The zombie comedy genre has remained largely untouched in Bollywood since the 2013 film Go Goa Gone. Interestingly, while Ranveer Singh is also working on a zombie-themed project titled Pralay, that film is expected to be a dark action-thriller, making this project a unique comedic take on the genre.
This film also represents a shift for Tiger Shroff. After years of being defined by high-octane action roles, this will mark his foray into the world of comedy. Tiger is currently managing a very busy schedule, shooting for Raj Mehta’s Lag Jaa Gale alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya. He is also set to work on an action thriller with director Sachin Ravi and a mythological action film titled Vajra with Ram Madhavani starting this September.
Shanaya Kapoor, who was recently seen in the thriller Tu Yaa Main, also has a busy lineup, including a period comedy titled JC opposite Abhay Verma. The new zombie comedy will start only after Tiger completes his existing filming commitments. Meanwhile, director Ahmed Khan is preparing for a massive song shoot in Dubai for Welcome to the Jungle, which is slated for a June 2026 release.
