Actor and Punjab Kings ( PBKS) co-owner Preity Zinta is more than overjoyed by the exceptional performance of her team, PBKS, in the 2026 Indian Premier League, aka IPL. On April 16, the Punjab Kings played against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. As per sources, PBKS defeated the Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets. The stars of the extraordinary match were captain Shreyas Iyer, Prabhsimran Singh, and Arshdeep Singh.
The fans were especially left amazed by the stunning catch of Hardik Pandya that Shreyas Iyer took during the first innings of the match, including the captain of the Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav, sitting in the dugout. Although the actress watched the match live, she did make sure to extend her gratitude towards the team on the platform of X as well.

With this win, the Punjab Kings stand unbeaten with six wins and a no result, giving them 13 points. Meanwhile, DC is in sixth spot, with three wins and four losses, giving them six points. PBKS broke their record of chasing down 262 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 2024 season.
