
Raj Babbar got married to Nadira back in 1975 when he was trying to make him stand out in the crowd as an actor in Bollywood. A year later, the duo became parents to their daughter, Juhi Babbar, and then a son, Arya Babbar. A few years later in 1982, Raj’s personal life turned upside down as he got involved with Smita Patil. The duo got married in 1983. Well, Raj again reunited with Nadira after Smita passed away due to childbirth complications.

Well, recently, Raj Babbar’s daughter, Juhi talked about her father and shared how his family’s reaction was to his inter-faith marriage with Nadira. Raj Babbar’s daughter, Juhi recently sat for an interview with Lehren Retro, wherein she shared that it was her father’s family who wanted her mom, Nadira to convert to Hinduism and adopt names like Nirmala or Nirdesh. Juhi added that her paternal grandfather prevented the same. Talking about their family’s equation, Juhi added that their family is a true symbol of Indianness, and only a Christian is left to join to have all in their family. Stating that they belong to all religions, Juhi said:
“We are the symbol of Indianness. We’re just waiting for a Christian girl to join the family so we have all. We belong to all religions.”
