Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been a frequent MET Gala attendee. However, this year, the actress might skip the event. As per sources, the actress is currently busy promoting the upcoming season of Citadel and after its release, she will travel to Los Angeles for the Gold House Gala, where she will receive a prestigious honour.
As per sources, “Priyanka Chopra is unable to attend the Met Gala this year as she is currently in the middle of an extensive global press tour for the promotions of the upcoming season of Citadel, which releases on May 6, followed immediately by her travel to Los Angeles for the Gold House Gala, where she will be honoured with the Global Vanguard Award for the second consecutive year.”
“The Met Gala has witnessed some of its most iconic, internet-breaking moments through Priyanka Chopra. She has long been its undeniable Queen Bee, delivering looks that have set the tone for the night and redefined the conversation year after year. She will absolutely be missed on those steps this year,” stated the source.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, along with EJAE, Charles Melton and others, are set to be honoured at the upcoming Gold House Gold Gala 2026. It will take place on May 9 at The Music Centre in downtown Los Angeles.
Now in its fifth year, the Gold Gala, widely regarded as a leading celebration of Asian Pacific excellence, is expanding its vision into a broader global platform that recognises cultural influence and impact across industries.
On the work front, the actress is making her comeback in Indian films with SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. The film will see her share the screen with Mahesh Babu. Besides this, Priyanka will also be reprising her role in Citadel season 2. The spy series will premiere on May 6 on Prime Video.
