Jackie Shroff is currently making headlines for his performance in the crime thriller series Chidiya Udd. The show which is inspired by true events revolves around Mumbai’s red light district. In an exclusive conversation with Filmfare, Shroff opened up about his acting journey including his Filmfare award win in the Best Actor category for Parinda.
Jackie Shroff went up on stage holding Tiger Shroff. Fondly recalling the moment, he shared, “Yes, that was for Parinda. Oh my God, he was tiny. He was hungry and my wife went backstage to feed the baby. She then came and put him in my arms. So I was holding him and I wasn’t expecting an award. But when they called my name I couldn’t stop and my wife said go up on stage. So I left with my baby in my arms.”

He further added, “He was so sweet. (laughs) He was asleep throughout, he had passed out. The iconic Rekha ji gave me the award. It was blessings for my boy and for me. To take my son and get onto the Filmfare stage, the biggest stage was surreal. Filmfare has `been there as long as one can remember.”
