The long-awaited trailer for Peddi will arrive on May 18. This promotional asset is easily the most anticipated update from the makers of Ram Charan’s next big project. Fans are eagerly waiting to see the actor return in a high-octane commercial entertainer.

The trailer promises a swashbuckling glimpse into a film that carries significant expectations for its lead star. Following the underperformance of Game Changer, there is immense pressure on the project. Audiences have already seen two distinct shades of Charan’s character — a rookie cricketer and an intense pehelwan. His physical transformation and commitment suggest a performance that could rival his acclaimed work in Rangasthalam. While the trailer will be launched at an event in Mumbai, a song from the film is expected to be unveiled later in Bhopal.
‘A touching climax’
Cinematographer R. Rathnavelu recently highlighted the emotional depth of the story. He revealed that the pre-climax and climax portions would be particularly moving for audiences. The Buchi Babu Sana directorial reportedly contains a hidden third element that has not yet been revealed. Whether the trailer unveils it remains to be seen. Rathnavelu also noted that while the narrative feels rooted and realistic, it still retains the flavour of a full-fledged commercial entertainer.

Massive sets and grand scale
Production designer Avinash Kolla spoke about the film’s ambitious scale. The team reportedly constructed 24 massive sets and nearly 70 different setups for the shoot. In a recent interview, Kolla explained that creating these environments from scratch was essential to maintain visual consistency and accommodate the film’s expansive star cast, rather than relying on multiple outdoor locations.
The film features a stellar ensemble alongside Ram Charan. It is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and features music composed by A. R. Rahman. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, while key technical contributions come from Rathnavelu and Avinash Kolla. Peddi is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
