Bollywood actor Mouni Roy has finally reacted to the ongoing rumours surrounding her marriage with husband Suraj Nambiar. While the actress did not directly address or confirm the divorce speculation, she urged media outlets to refrain from spreading “false narratives” and requested privacy during this time.
Taking to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, Mouni wrote, “Humbly requesting all media houses to not publish false narrative and give us space and privacy. Please.” Her statement came a day after reports about her alleged separation from Suraj started circulating widely on social media.
Amid the ongoing speculation, Mouni also shared her first social media post since the rumours surfaced. The actress posted a series of pictures with her sister Roopali Kadyan on Instagram and penned a heartfelt birthday note for her.
Sharing the photos, Mouni wrote, “My sister come ruin or rapture. Happy birthday, my erry’thing. Love your sarcasm, Witt, beauty inside out, and all that makes you; YOU! I LOVE YOU! No adjectives can ever describe how much I love you, and you already know that. You are a witch, though.”
The rumours around Mouni and Suraj’s relationship began after fans noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Reports also claimed that the couple were no longer living together. Adding to the buzz, Suraj’s Instagram account reportedly became inaccessible, showing a message that the page was unavailable. Actress Disha Patani, who shares a close bond with Mouni, was also reported to have unfollowed Suraj before his account disappeared.
Mouni and Suraj tied the knot in Goa in 2022. On the work front, Mouni will next be seen in The Wives alongside Sonali Kulkarni, Regina Cassandra and Rahul Bhatt. She also has Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai in her lineup featuring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur among others.
