Actor Jyotika has offered a personal glimpse into the spiritual thread she believes ran parallel to the making of her recent release, System. On Friday, the actor took to Instagram to share moments from her temple visits, tying them to the film’s journey from inception to its current reception on Prime Video.
A journey that began with faith
Her post included images of her alongside Suriya and director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, along with a photograph of the screenplay’s final draft. The visuals, she suggested, were not just memories but markers of a journey shaped by belief.
“I know it’s her,” she wrote, hinting at a divine force she credits for the film’s success.
Jyotika further elaborated on the significance of her temple visits. “Started System with Kamakhya Devi and completed the journey today with Mahalakshmi for blessing the film with the success it deserves. The post comes shortly after Jyotika celebrated the film’s performance on its streaming platform. A day prior, she shared a poster of System, claiming it had secured the top spot on Prime Video. “The verdict is in and it’s a win for truth,” read her caption, underscoring both the film’s theme and its reception.
System also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Ashutosh Gowariker. The narrative centres on a privileged public prosecutor who teams up with a perceptive court stenographer, navigating systemic bias while unearthing long-buried truths within the legal framework.
The film has drawn attention for its detail-oriented storytelling. In a review, critic Kartik Bhardwaj noted, “The film has a geeky, technical lens towards the cases which makes for a more enjoyable experience. It’s in the minute details where System actually scores.” The emphasis on procedural nuance appears to have resonated with viewers, contributing to its strong streaming performance.
