Ariana Grande is currently hogging the limelight due to her appearance in the music video for her latest single, Hate That I Made You Love Me. Ariana had a long break from singing due to her work commitments in the acting industry. Amid this, the Wicked fame’s past reaction to body shaming has gone viral.
Ariana Grande got candid about the constant criticism around her appearance
During a 2024 conversation with a French journalist, Sally, Ariana Grande was asked about how she dealt with beauty standards and the criticism around her appearance. In response, Ariana got a bit emotional and tried to hold back before opening up about her experiences. The Wicked star shared that as she has been in front of the public since she was 16, there has been constant criticism around how she looked. Ariana explained that sometimes she felt like an experimental specimen under a microscope. She was quoted as saying:
“My goodness, I’m not gonna… I’ve been kind of doing this in front of the public and kind of been, you know, a specimen in a petri dish, really, since I was 16 or 17. I’ve heard every version of it, of what’s wrong with me, and then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for different reasons.”
