For those unaware, it was reportedly inspired by the end of David and Lily’s marriage. Although the actor did not address the specific allegations related to the album, he admitted that hearing that his former relationship inspired the music was “weird”.

David Harbour recently sat down with Variety for an interview. During the conversation, the Stranger Things star admitted that the fact that his former wife, Lily Allen’s album, West End Girl, inspired by their relationship, was “weird”. But, he confessed that he respects her right as an artist to turn her personal life into creative work. David’s remarks came several months after the singer released the album, which created a lot of discussion about their separation. The actor admitted that he does not hold any grudge towards Lily. In his words:
“It was weird. I do believe that it is the privilege of every artist to use their experience to create art. So, I respect her for doing that.”
