
19-year-old Texas teen, Karmelo Anthony, was sentenced to 35 years in prison, after he was found guilty of murdering a fellow athlete, Austin Metcalf. The incident happened back in 2025, following which, he was arrested, and it was in June 2026, when he was sentenced to more than three decades of imprisonment, following his guilty verdict.
Amid this, reports claimed that a chilling video was shown to the jurors during the murder trial, which captured some fragments of the incident. Reportedly, several parts of the video were captured on the body camera of a school resource officer with the Frisco Police Department, Officer Eduardo Cortez. So, what was shown in the clip? According to the reports, state prosecutor Bill Wirskye recently showed the clip to the jurors during the murder trial of Karmelo Anthony. In the clip, Karmelo was reportedly seen holding his hands above his head, as Officer Eduraro Cortez said that he had found the ‘alleged suspect’. To mention, the alleged video doesn’t capture the entire brutal incident, but rather shows some fragments.
