Prabhas and high-profile Bollywood action directors seem destined to cross paths sooner or later. It happened with Siddharth Anand after the massive success of War in 2019. Now, another prominent name has entered the conversation — Aditya Dhar.

The filmmaker, known for the Dhurandhar franchise, is reportedly the latest director to have held discussions with the Baahubali star. While nothing has been officially confirmed, the mere possibility of this combination has already sparked excitement among fans.
It is easy to understand the curiosity. Prabhas possesses a rare larger-than-life screen presence that naturally complements grand cinematic worlds. Dhar, on the other hand, has demonstrated his ability to mount gritty, high-octane action dramas with scale and ambition. Their creative sensibilities could make for an intriguing collaboration.
Dhar’s style enjoys a strong fan base
The Dhurandhar films have performed strongly at the box office and have also found a significant following among Telugu audiences. Dhar’s filmmaking style, with its emphasis on action, emotion and larger-than-life storytelling, has particularly resonated with fans of commercial cinema. A collaboration with Prabhas could further expand that appeal and potentially create a massive pan-Indian spectacle.

A practical challenge
However, there is one major hurdle — Prabhas’ packed schedule. The actor already has several ambitious projects lined up, including Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauzi, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2. Reports suggest that Fauzi has faced scheduling delays, which could push the timeline of his upcoming commitments further.
Even if the collaboration with Dhar materialises, it is likely to happen only after Prabhas completes his existing projects. For now, it remains an exciting possibility rather than a confirmed venture. Meanwhile, Prabhas continues to juggle Fauzi and Spirit. The former is a period romance also starring Emanvi Ismail and Jaya Prada, while the latter is a high-octane action drama directed by Animal filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
