NBK111, referring to Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 111th film, kickstarted its promotional campaign on Wednesday to mark the actor’s birthday. Staying true to his larger-than-life on-screen persona, the makers unveiled the glimpse with the words, “A lifetime of legacy. A never-before-seen attitude. A level of swag that refuses to age.”
The glimpse introduces the veteran actor as the “King of Chaos,” a striking title that perfectly aligns with Balakrishna’s image as an unstoppable force known for powerful dialogues and larger-than-life screen moments. One thing is certain — fans can expect a vintage Balayya in an intense new avatar.
Set in the Bombay of 1993, when the underworld held immense influence, the action entertainer promises a gritty and high-stakes narrative. For Balakrishna, who has recently been associated with larger-than-life mythological and supernatural action dramas like Akhanda and Akhanda 2, the film marks a shift towards a raw gangster world.
Nayanthara’s exit confirmed
The film was initially announced with Nayanthara as the female lead in November 2025. However, reports in April this year suggested that the actress had exited the project, and Kajal Aggarwal has now replaced her.
What to expect from Balakrishna
The Veera Simha Reddy and Bhagavanth Kesari star has been consciously experimenting with his mass image by bringing fresh energy and variations to his characters. With a unique character arc and distinct styling, NBK111 is expected to present a new shade of Balakrishna.
