Vicky Kaushal recently took to social media to express his admiration and respect for legendary Punjabi singer and composer Gurdas Maan. He shared special photographs from a recent meeting with the icon, accompanying the images with a touching note that highlighted his lifelong connection to the artist’s work.

The bond between the two has been evident for some time. Gurdas Maan holds a special place in Vicky Kaushal’s life, having performed a live, soulful rendition of his song Teri Jodi Jeeve as a blessing during Vicky and Katrina Kaif’s wedding in Rajasthan. Last year, Vicky also publicly praised Maan’s song Main Hi Jhoothi, taken from the album Sound of Soil, describing the legendary singer as “evergreen.”
Gurdas Maan, an acclaimed singer, composer, and actor, has been a central figure in Punjabi music and cinema since rising to national fame with the 1980 hit Dil Da Mamla Hai. Over his distinguished career, he has recorded more than 34 albums and composed over 305 songs. His enduring influence was also highlighted in 2015 when he collaborated with Diljit Dosanjh on the popular MTV Coke Studio India track, Ki Banu Dunia Da. For Vicky, this meeting was clearly a special one with an artist he has looked up to throughout his life.
