Exclusive: Lakshvir Singh Saran On Working In Lukkhe and Made In India: A Titan Story

After the success of the web series Lukkhe, where he garnered critical acclaim for keeping his character, Lucky, grounded amidst chaotic circumstances, Lakshvir Singh Saran is now enjoying praise for his recent project, Made In India: A Titan Story.

For Lakshvir, the transition between these two worlds was anything but easy. In a display of extreme commitment, he shot both Lukkhe and Made In India: A Titan Story simultaneously, managing gruelling 12-hour shifts for each project without taking a break for three weeks. He admitted, “It’s all a blur. I would be in that world of the ‘70s with watches in my hand, and then I would take a cab and go into the world of Lukkhe, where suddenly there are guns around. It was an interesting experience, and I would love to do it again because I love acting that much.”

Lakshvir’s approach to acting is defined by a respect for the process over the final product. Having started his career with independent cinema, including the Venice Film Festival-selected Milestone, he developed a discipline that remains central to his craft. He sees acting not as a pursuit of praise, but as a period of profound exploration. He explained, “The product does what it does. The praises will come someday, the praises won’t come someday, but the process is still yours, and I think no one can steal that away from you.”

This philosophy was further reinforced while working alongside stalwarts like Naseeruddin Shah and Jim Sarbh on Made In India: A Titan Story. He spoke particularly highly of Jim Sarbh, describing him as “a rare, secure leader who prioritized the project over his own screen time, often suggesting that lines be given to other actors if it benefited the story.”

When asked about his future aspirations, Lakshvir remained open to being pushed out of his comfort zone. He said, “While I have traversed romance and drama, I am eager to explore genres that make me feel nervous, since those roles have often led to my best work.”
