The long wait for updates about Yash’s much-awaited action entertainer, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, has finally come to an end. The actor has officially announced the release date for the film, confirming that it is set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
This announcement brings much-needed clarity for fans who have been following the project through months of speculation about its release timeline. Yash shared the news directly through his official Instagram account, accompanied by a new poster that features him against a bold, red-toned backdrop, effectively highlighting the film’s intense visual tone.
In his post, Yash wrote, “Honour Thy Father… #Toxic In Cinemas Worldwide from 26-08-2026. #ToxicTheMovie.” The official confirmation has sparked excitement among fans, with the post garnering many reactions. While some users expressed their eagerness with comments like “Eagerly waiting!!!”, others acknowledged the journey the project has taken to reach this point. One user noted, “Daddy’s Home on Father’s Day,” referencing the timing of the announcement. Another fan speculated on the release period, observing the surrounding dates, writing, “Aug 25 – Premier shows Aug 26 – Onam, Eid-e-Milad Aug 27- Auspicious Day Aug 28 – Raksha Bandhan Aug 30 – sunday Aug 31-Final Shubh Muhurat Daddy is coming to rule the Box-office.”
