The 60-year-old singer, Alka Yagnik received the third-highest civilian award in the Republic of India, the Padma Bhushan, from President Droupadi Murmu on June 23, 2026. Soon after the ceremony video featuring Alka surfaced online, eagle-eyed fans became worried due to her frail appearance. She was seen taking help from a female volunteer as she walked to the stage.
