Recently, the Laal Dupatta singer received the Padma Bhushan Award from the President, Droupadi Murmu. However, her appearance sparked major concerns related to her health. Soon after receiving the Padma Bhushan Award on June 23, 2026, the singer, Alka Yagnik, who once ruled the industry with her voice, was seen on a wheelchair. The video clip of the same is currently making rounds on social media. For those who do not know, Alka Yagnik is suffering from major hearing loss, due to which her chances of returning to playback singing are very less. For the award ceremony, Alka opted for a beige-hued suit with minimal yet statement jewellery. It is worth noting that Alka received the prestigious award for her contributions to Indian music.
