Ranveer Singhs Dhurandhar: The Revenge Celebrates 100 Days In Theatres

Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the action-packed sequel directed by Aditya Dhar, has officially reached a special milestone. The film has successfully completed 100 days in theatres since its release on March 19. The production banner, Jio Studios, marked the occasion on Friday by sharing an update on their official Instagram account. The post celebrated the journey of the film, stating, “100 days since theatres echoed with ‘Honsla Eendhan Badla’.” The film’s performance at the box office has been noteworthy. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, it has earned Rs 1,813.38 crore in worldwide gross collections.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues the narrative established in the first film, focusing on the rise of Hamza Ali Mazari (played by Ranveer Singh) within the Lyari gang world of Karachi, Pakistan, after the death of Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna) in the first part. The story provides insight into the transformation of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an Indian spy operating on a secret mission in Pakistan, into the persona of Hamza Ali Mazari.

The franchise featured an ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, and Danish Pandor. Apart from the theatrical release, the franchise has expanded its reach through digital platforms. Dhurandhar: Raw and Undekha (Part 1), an extended and uncensored version of the first film, was released internationally on May 15 and in India on May 22 on Netflix and JioHotstar. Eventually, the uncut and behind-the-scenes version of the sequel, titled Raw & Undekha – The Revenge, premiered on JioHotstar on June 4 and began streaming on Netflix on June 19.

Dhurandhar The Revenge

Talking about the impact of the Dhurandhar series earlier this year, Yami Gautam spoke about her husband, Aditya Dhar, and the family’s perspective on the success. She told Grazia India, “Nothing has changed us as people. That also comes from Aditya and the kind of person he is – very unaffected and extremely humble. I’ve seen him through different phases: there are highs and lows and vulnerable phases, but it’s not like during that phase we expressed our frustration or let it out.” She further added, “Both of us are extremely thankful to God. For us, spirituality is very important; we believe in the Almighty. Good things happen to good people. What’s meant for you may be delayed but never denied.”
