Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie has been making headlines since its release. The show is an adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s novel by the same name. “Eli and his railroad sold us a lie! And now we’re left with the bill”, ‘Russell’ explains to ‘Charles’ as the government demands USD 1.50 an acre, a task that is impossible for ‘Charles’. Anyone who doesn’t have it will be kicked off the island, and as thunder rumbles in the background, ‘Charles’ realises what it means for his family. ‘Eli’ offers to help him by making him a foreman on the railroad. However, he would have to leave his family for a year. Nonetheless, disgusted by ‘Eli’, he refuses to shake on it.
