Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s daughter, Ida Ali, has gotten engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Krish Agarwal. The proposal took place during the couple’s recent trip to Norway and Ida gave fans a glimpse of the special moment by sharing heartwarming photos and videos on social media.
The photos she shared showed Krish down on one knee as he asked Ida to marry him. She captioned the carousel, “Yes”.

In another video, Ida is seen proudly flaunting her sparkling diamond engagement ring. The camera then pans to her, showing her excited face. In the same clip, Krish cutely rests his head on hers, making the moment even more romantic.
Sharing the video, Ida simply wrote, “01/07/26 11pm Ytresand.”

Ida has been carving her own path in the film industry. Following in her father’s footsteps, she is a filmmaker and writer who directed the short film Lift at the age of 17 and later wrote Uljhe Hue, starring Sanjana Sanghi and Abhay Verma. She has also been pursuing filmmaking studies in California.
Ida Ali is Imtiaz Ali and Preety Ali’s daughter. The couple got married in 1995 and welcomed their daughter in 2001. While they parted ways and got divorced in 2012, the couple eventually reconnected in 2020, and they continue to collaborate professionally.
On the work front, Imtiaz Ali recently directed Main Vaapas Aaunga, a love story in the backdrop of partition and migration. It starred Naseeruddin Shah, Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina and Sharvari in key roles.
