Chris Martin sings Vande Mataram hails Jasprit Bumrah at Coldplay concert

Chris Martin won the hearts of the attendees of his Ahmedabad concert when he sang Vande Mataram on the occasion of Republic Day. He greeted his fans by saying, “Happy Republic Day, India” and then sang his version of AR Rahman’s 1997 hit patriotic song, Maa Tujhe Salaam.
Needless to say, the loudest cheers came from the crowd while they sang along with him. Chris also spoke in Hindi and thanked the people for coming to Coldplay’s concert.

Not just that, he also paid tribute to Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah. Addressing him, Chris said, “O Jasprit Bumrah, my beautiful brother. The best bowler in the whole of cricket. We did not enjoy watching you destroy England, wicket after wicket.”

With this, Coldplay’s India leg of the Music of the Spheres World Tour came to an end.
