Udit Narayan recently sat for an interview with ETimes, wherein he was asked about being heavily criticised for the clip showing him kissing a female fan on her lips, who reportedly is 21-year-old. Talking about the same, Udit said that he had never done anything to shame himself, his family, or the country ever, thus there’s no point in him doing something to bring him shame after achieving so much in his career. The singer also added that the bond he shares with his fans is deep, pure, and unbreakable, and thus, whatever was shown in the video was simply the manifestation of love. Udit can be quoted as saying:
“Then why would I do something now, after achieving so much in my career? People travel from all over the world to attend my concerts, and tickets sell out months in advance. The bond I have with my fans is pure, unbreakable, and deep. What you saw in that video was simply a manifestation of that love.”
