A report by India Today revealed that Sonali had introduced her friend, Dipannita to Abhishek. Dipannita hailed from a family of freedom fighters in Assam and reportedly was not ready to date someone from the Bollywood industry. Things worked out slowly and steadily, but Junior Bachchan never had the guts to accept the relationship in public. He used to always tell her to keep a low profile about their relationship and never speak about it to the media. Earlier, in an interview with the Times Of India, Dipannita had shared:
“The time that has gone by holds absolutely no importance in my life. It’s zilch, nothing. Neither do I want to give a clarification nor a confirmation relating to Abhishek.”
