Veteran Odia actor Uttam Mohanty remains critical after suffering from liver cirrhosis. He has been airlifted to a private hospital in Delhi after his condition turned risky on Saturday evening.
The 66-year old star was admitted in the ICU of a private hospital in Bhubaneshwar. According to several reports, he was put under a ventilation support. His son Babushaan said that many arrangements were being made to transfer him to a hospital in Delhi.
Manoj Sahu, head of the department of gastroenterology of the Bhubaneshwar hospital said, “Uttam Mohanty is undergoing treatment for cirrhosis of the liver. He is in the ICU, and his condition is stable. We discussed with his family about his health. We are making arrangements to shift him. He is on organ support, so he can be transferred through air ambulance.”
