However, things went south when the podcaster’s statement created a wave of controversy online. Ranveer has now posted an apology video addressing his crass remark on the show.

Ranveer Allahbadia’s inappropriate comment on the show resulted in a row on social media. Netizens were quick to point out how crass his comments were, and the YouTuber faced severe backlash. Now, responding to the same, Ranveer posted an apology video on social media. In the video, Ranveer admitted that his comment was not just inappropriate but also not funny. He addressed that this was not how he wanted to use the platform he was provided with and called the occurrences a lapse in judgement. He stated:
“My comment was not just inappropriate, it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wished to use my platform and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here to apologise. I personally had a lapse in judgement. It was not cool on my part.”
