Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are among the top two actresses in the Bollywood film industry. The duo have a global fan base and have respectively also got the title of ‘Miss World’. Aishwarya had a different fanbase when she won hearts with the role of ‘Jodhaa’ in Ashutosh Gowariker’s directed, Jodhaa Akbar. On the other hand, Priyanka’s role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film, Fashion won her an award, and Ashutosh could not digest that.

It was in 2009 when the IFFA Awards took place, and ‘desi girl’ Priyanka got the award for her phenomenal performance in her film, Fashion. She received the Best Actress award, and Aishwarya was nominated in the same category. Sadly, Priyanka received the love and award, which did not gel well with Ashutosh. He got the award for Best Director; however, in his speech, he was sarcastic towards Priyanka. The actor, according to an IBT Times report said:
“Priyanka I love you, but I don’t know how you got the award for Best Actress when Aishwarya was also nominated in the same category for Jodhaa Akbar.”
