A day after South Korean actress Kim Sae-Ron’s death, the Seongdong Police in Seoul confirmed it to be suicide. The Bloodhounds actress was found dead at her home at the age of 24.
As per police officials quoted by South Korean media, “We believe she made an extreme choice and plan to handle it as a suicide.” She made her acting debut as a child artiste and rose to fame with her films and K-dramas. In 2022, she had to take a break after she was caught driving under the influence of alcohol. Her career faced a major setback following this incident. However, it was revealed recently that she was planning her acting comeback and also planning to open a cafe.
Meanwhile, the actress’ father alleged that she was suffering from emotional distress and blamed a YouTuber for her condition. During her funeral, he issued a statement saying that the YouTuber posted a video criticising Sae-ron over her wedding-themed photos on social media.
“Kim Sae Ron’s self-deletion again… Gone into hiding after marriage rumors? Tried contacting her directly” this was the title of the video as per Korean media. Some videos also claimed that she was working at a cafe due to financial issues. Sae-Ron’s family has questioned the authenticity of the videos and is collecting related material to build a case.
