
Ajinkya Rahane is one of the few Indian cricketers who are often regarded as one of the most outstanding players in Test cricket. The iconic batsman has so many jaw-dropping records to his name. Ajinkya was the first batsman to hit six fours in a single over in IPL (Indian Premier League) for his team, Rajasthan Royals, against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He is also only the fifth batsman in the history of Indian cricket to hit centuries in each innings of a Test match back in 2015 against South Africa. The cricketer received the Arjuna Award for his incredible contribution to Indian cricket in 2016.

The iconic cricketer, Ajinkya Rahane is also one of the few cricketers, who has scored more than 1000 runs in a single season of Ranji Trophy. Not just batting, Rahane also holds the record of taking the most catches (8) by a non-wicket-keeper in a single match. However, he is best known for his play in Test cricket. The Indian batsman is only the fourth Indian to score a Test century on his debut match at cricket’s Mecca, Lord’s. He is also the first Indian cricketer to score a century in the World Test Championship.
