Recently, Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma shared a delightful anecdote about Dharmendra during an interview, shedding light on the time when the actor humorously teased his sons about their innocence in relationships. Anil, who has had a long and friendly relationship with the Deol family, recalled a memorable incident from the sets of the 2007 film Apne, where Dharmendra worked alongside his sons.
During the filming of Apne, Anil Sharma, who had a close working relationship with the Deol family, recalled a light-hearted moment when Dharmendra was discussing his sons’ innocence in front of him. While sitting in his vanity van, Dharmendra playfully remarked to Anil that his sons were quite “innocent” and had never been involved in any affairs with their co-actresses. He went on to add, “My boys are too straightforward. They don’t have any affairs, not even with heroines. Look at me, during my time, all the heroines used to chase me!”
Sunny and Bobby Deol, who overheard their father’s teasing remarks, were left embarrassed by the comments. According to Anil, the brothers quickly excused themselves and left the scene, feeling a little shy about their father’s playful comments.
Both Sunny and Bobby Deol are prominent names in Hindi cinema and have had successful careers. In 2023, the brothers released some of the biggest films of their careers, marking significant milestones in their professional lives. Despite being a part of the film industry for years, this amusing incident is a reminder of the family’s close bond and Dharmendra’s playful yet loving nature toward his sons.
