
The animated film Mufasa: The Lion King, a highly anticipated sequel to The Lion King (2019), has finally been released worldwide. With the film’s release on December 20, it has created a massive buzz among fans, and the box office collection on Day 1 is nothing short of impressive.
In the original Lion King movie, the emotional storyline and captivating visuals won hearts globally. After a five-year gap, Disney brings Mufasa: The Lion King, continuing the saga from where the previous movie left off. First Day Box Office Collection
Mufasa: The Lion King has made an impactful debut at the Indian box office. As per initial reports from Sacknilk, the film has earned approximately ₹10 crores on its opening day. Although these are preliminary figures, the movie is performing strongly at the ticket counters.
Advance Booking and Expectations
The film has also seen solid advance booking numbers. As per reports, Mufasa sold around 65,000 tickets across national chains, with about 35,000 tickets sold for its opening day. Despite the ongoing craze around Pushpa 2, analysts predict that Mufasa: The Lion King will earn between ₹10-12 crores on its opening day in India.
Aryan Khan’s Debut as a Voice Artist

The Hindi version of Mufasa features voices of several notable stars. Shah Rukh Khan reprises his role as Mufasa, while his sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan also make their voice acting debuts. Aryan lends his voice to Simba, and AbRam voices young Mufasa. This marks AbRam’s debut as a voice artist.
Mufasa: The Lion King is being loved by audiences across India, and it is expected to continue its strong performance at the box office in the coming days.
