Chaava has been making headlines since its release. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the historical drama features Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Queen Yesubai. The film which reportedly marks Vicky’s career-best opening, has had a pretty good first week at the box office.
As per Sacnilk.com, Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Madanna’s Chhaava earned an estimated Rs 19.61 crore on Day 7 across languages. This brings the film’s current total to Rs 217.36 crore. On Thursday, the morning shows reportedly had 17.25 per cent occupancy while 24.14 per cent and 28.88 per cent footfall were reported in the afternoon and evening respectively.

Filmfare’s review of Chhaava reads, “Chhaava succeeds in delivering a high-intensity action film, anchored by Vicky Kaushal’s powerhouse performance. However, it falls short of fully capturing the complexities of Sambhaji’s character, leaving much of his multifaceted legacy unexplored. The film is a stirring tribute to the warrior king, but it could have delved deeper into the man behind the legend.”
