Kangana Ranaut Requests Personal Meeting with Prime Minister Modi

Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut recently shared her views on why Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets with Bollywood celebrities and stays connected with the film industry. According to Kangana, the Indian film industry needs guidance and leadership to thrive and overcome its challenges.

Film Industry Needs Guidance, Says Kangana

Kangana expressed that the Indian film industry is like an underutilized soft power. With over two decades of experience in the industry, she feels that it is in dire need of proper guidance. “The film industry is almost orphaned because it lacks direction,” she said. “There are so many issues that the industry faces, and people working in it need mentorship and guidance to navigate through these challenges.”

Lack of Direction Among Actors

Kangana also pointed out that many actors in the industry are easily influenced by external factors, including political agendas. “Whether it’s supporting jihadist or Palestinian causes, many actors end up supporting causes without understanding their true impact. They have no clear direction or understanding of who to support or why,” she explained.

She further highlighted the vulnerability of the industry’s members, stating, “A little money is enough to manipulate some people in the industry into supporting any cause. They are often caught in the wrong situations, such as being associated with drug or money laundering circles, making them very vulnerable.”

Why It’s Important for PM to Interact with the Industry

Kangana praised the initiative of Prime Minister Modi in connecting with the film industry. She believes that such interactions are essential for fostering a sense of importance and respect for the industry’s contributions. “It’s great that the PM is taking interest in the work we do. It sends a message that even we matter. Before, many believed that no one cared about us, but now, with the Prime Minister meeting us, it shows that our work is being recognized,” she added.

Kangana’s Request to Meet PM Modi

Kangana also revealed that she has requested a personal meeting with Prime Minister Modi. She expressed her hope that one day the Prime Minister would invite her to discuss issues related to the industry. “I have asked the Prime Minister to meet me, and I look forward to the opportunity to sit with him,” said the actress.

Kangana’s Upcoming Film ‘Emergency’

On the professional front, Kangana is currently in the spotlight for her upcoming film Emergency, which she has both directed and acted in. The film is based on the life of India’s first female Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. Kangana plays the role of Indira Gandhi, and the movie is set to release on January 17, 2025. The film also stars actors like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and Milind Soman in pivotal roles.
