Amid the actor’s busy life, his wife, Sunita Ahuja, played an important role as a companion at every step of his life. However, after 37 years of togetherness, media reports have revealed that the couple might part ways due to the actor’s closeness with a 30-year-old Marathi actress and other differences. Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, once appeared on the show, Rendezvous With Simi Garewal and discussed a humorous incident during the initial days of their relationship. He revealed that he once took Sunita to have dinner at The Taj Hotel to celebrate her birthday. Since they were in a mood to celebrate, they ordered champagne. In Sunita’s words:
“We went up, sat, and said, ‘Let’s have champagne.’ I said, ‘Yes, let’s have something new.’ So he ordered one, we sipped one…”
