Actor Govinda is making the headlines for his divorce rumours from his wife Sunita Ahuja. The couple have been married for almost four decades. The rumours spread like wildfire when a user on Reddit posted about it but later deleted their post. While the couple have not reacted to this yet, Govinda’s nephew Krushna Abhishek and niece Arti Singh reacted to the news.
When asked about the divorce, Krushna denied the allegations and said, “This is not possible. They won’t divorce.”
Arti, too, refuted the rumours and said that people should refrain from spreading misinformation about the couple’s personal lives. The television actress expressed, “I am honestly not in Mumbai right now, so I haven’t been in touch with anybody. But let me tell you something—this is false news. These are just speculations because their bond is so strong. They have built a strong and loving relationship over the years, so how can they get divorced? I don’t know where people get all these rumours from—completely untrue. People should refrain from spreading misinformation about their personal lives. In fact, news about my divorce had also surfaced for no reason. Such baseless gossip only creates unnecessary stress.”
Meanwhile, as per a report in an entertainment portal, the actor’s manager has apparently confirmed that there have been issues between Sunita and him. The portal quoted Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha as saying, “There have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by certain members from the family. There is nothing more to it and Govinda is in the process of starting a film for which artists are visiting our office. We are trying to resolve it.”
Some time back, Sunita Ahuja spoke about their relationship in an interview and revealed that they live in separate houses. She said, “We have two houses—our flat and a bungalow opposite it. I stay in the flat with my temple and my kids, while Govinda often stays at the bungalow since he returns late from meetings. He enjoys talking and will sit with ten people chatting for hours, while my son, daughter, and I live together but speak very little. I feel too much talking just drains your energy.”
