Shah Rukh Khan has been photographed attending Ashutosh Gowariker’s son Konark Gowariker’s wedding with Niyati Kanakia. The couple tied the knot on March 2, 2025. While the actor did not join the paparazzi for photos, he was clicked inside the venue, interacting with his Swades director and other colleagues from the film industry.
Many pictures and videos have surfaced online from the wedding, which suggest Shah Rukh was a part of the festivities. In one of the videos, the actor is seen approaching the newlyweds to shower his blessings. In some of the photos, he is seen posing with the newlyweds.
King Khan donned a black tuxedo with a matching tie. He paired them with a white shirt. He completed his look with black sunglasses.
Many other celebrities attended the wedding, including Swades actress Gayatri Joshi, Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Shefali Shah, Pooja Hegde, Genelia D’Souza, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonali Bendre and Chunky Pandey.
Before the wedding, the couple also engaged in pre-wedding festivities, which began on the last week of February. Ashutosh’s son Konark is currently working as an assistant with his father. He is yet to step into the industry. Niyati, on the other hand, is the daughter of Rasesh Babubhai Kanakia, a real estate magnate and the owner of Kanakia Builders.
Actress Shazahn Padamsee, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji and other close friends were seen enjoying the events alongside the couple and their families.

In one of the viral clips, Konark and Niyati can be seen enjoying dance performances dedicated to them. Ashutosh and Sunita Gowariker were also clicked celebrating with their loved ones while blessing the couple. Ashutosh Gowariker danced to several songs, one being the famous track Mitwa from Lagaan.
