After having received raved reviews for its Telugu version, Aadi Sai Kumar’s latest film Shambala is all set to hit the screens in Hindi. The supernatural thriller, directed by Ugandhar Muni, is slated for release on January 9, 2026. Aadi pinned a lot of hopes on the film, and Shambhala gave him the much-needed respite at the box office. The positive reception prompted the filmmakers to pursue a Hindi theatrical release.
Rishab Shetty unveils Hindi trailer
Kantara star Rishab Shetty unveiled Shambhala’s Hindi trailer. The development marks a significant step towards reaching out to the broader audiences. Also, this is the first time Aadi Saikumar’s film will hit the screens in the Hindi belt. Expressing his excitement, Aadi shares that he is looking forward to the Hindi release.
“Shambhala is an interesting blend of science, faith, and mythology. The writing effectively builds mood and takes the audiences to the edge-of-the-seat. These aspects have worked big time in our favour. We are hoping that the interesting elements in the film will capture the Hindi audience’s attention too.” The actor, who made a strong comeback with Shambhala, shares that the film is also a first-of-its-kind genre to him. “At a time when I was looking for a rooted story, I came across the Shambhala script. I okayed it in the first sitting as I was intrigued with the plotline and set up.” Director Ugandhar was appreciated for picking up a story that has mythological and contemporary significance.
About Shambhala
The film is a supernatural thriller where a skeptical geologist, Vikram (Aadi Sai Kumar), lands in a village Shambhala to investigate strange incidents after a meteor strikes. While superstitious locals believe meteor as an evil force that’s causing the curses in the village, a battle between science and faith that challenges Vikram’s rational worldview begins.
