Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro made a stylish appearance at JAY-Z and Beyoncé’s Oscars after-party, confirming the romance rumours that had been swirling around them. The couple had already been spotted together at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party earlier in the night, and later, they were seen side by side at the after-party as well. Their presence at both events fuelled speculation, especially after reports surfaced that they had started dating. It looks like they are really enjoying spending time together.

According to sources at the event, Garfield and Barbaro were openly affectionate, sharing kisses and dancing throughout the night. One insider told Entertainment Tonight that the two were inseparable, having a great time together but still keeping things somewhat private. Just a few days before, reports had already hinted at their budding romance, making their affectionate moments at the party all the more exciting for fans. People at the party could tell they were happy together.

Before heading to the after-party, the couple attended the Academy Awards together. Garfield, who starred in We Live in Time, was one of the presenters alongside Goldie Hawn, while Barbaro received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in A Complete Unknown. The duo was also spotted in London, attending a performance of Richard II, starring Jonathan Bailey, at the Bridge Theatre. They seem to be spending a lot of time together in public.

Garfield has always been private about his relationships, previously telling Esquire in October 2024 that he doesn’t discuss his personal life publicly. Before his rumoured romance with Barbaro, he was linked to spiritual reader Kate Tomas, but she confirmed in October that they had broken up months earlier. As for Garfield and Barbaro, their first public appearance together was at W Magazine’s Best Performances Party, where they posed for photos with Eddie Redmayne and Lynn Hirschberg. Though they haven’t said anything, their actions make it clear they are more than just friends.
