Anurag Kashyap faced financial burden before he got Aaliyah Kashyap married
Anurag got his daughter, Aaliyah married to Shane. It looked like the filmmaker had to shell a fortune for the same. Recently, in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Anurag revealed that the wedding expenses were similar to the budgets of his smaller movies. He disclosed that he had to take up acting jobs to manage the wedding costs and acknowledged that indie filmmakers often face difficulties with finances. He said:
“This year (2024) was about making films and lots of acting. I had to get my daughter married. For an indie filmmaker to do that kind of a wedding. No!”
