The 30th Critics Choice Awards were held today in Santa Monica, California. Shogun, Anora, The Substance and more were among the top winners. The evening saw its fair share of snubs and surprises. Among the snubs was India’s All We Imagine As Light.
Payal Kapadia’s brilliant All We Imagine As Light was nominated at the Critics Choice Awards 2025 in the Best Foreign Film category. After the film didn’t bag the win. Emilia Perez took home the award.
The other nominees in the category include Latvia’s Flow, Brazil’s I’m Still Here, Ireland’s Kneecap and Germany’s The Seed of the Sacred Fig. All We Imagine As Light made history when it won the prestigious Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024. The film also had a Golden Globe nomination. However, Emilia Perez won in the category earlier as well.
All We Imagine As Light features Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam, Hridhu Haroon, Azees Nedumangad. The Mumbai-set film won hearts globally for its beautiful storytelling, brilliant performances and immersive visuals.
