Recently, we have seen the trend of re-releasing old Bollywood films, and it has been a hit with the audience. People have been flocking to theatres to watch films like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Veer Zaara among others which re-released in theatres. Some of the box office collections of these iconic films have also given tough competition to the newly released films.
Now, joining this list is Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel’s blockbuster, Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai. The film will be released again to mark its 25th anniversary.
The film will be released on January 10, coinciding with Hrithik’s birthday. Reacting to this, the actor said, “It’s surreal to realize that 25 years have passed since Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai! This milestone is both humbling and motivating. My first film will always hold a special place in my heart, and I’m deeply grateful for the love it continues to receive.”
KNPH was Hrithik’s debut film where he played a double role. It revolved around Rohit (Hrithik), a charming but economically unstable singer and his love interest Sonia (Ameesha), the daughter of a business tycoon. One day, Rohit is found dead under mysterious circumstances and Sonia’s father sends her abroad to her cousin’s place to recover from the shock. However, to her surprise, she encounters a man named Raj, who looks exactly like Rohit. What unfolds is an ultimate romantic-drama.
