Nearly three months after Aditya Dhar’s action thriller Dhurandhar roared into cinemas and rewrote box office history, the noise around it has only grown louder. Social media is still buzzing with fan theories, slick edits and constant speculation about the sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge. And now, a fresh casting rumour has added another exciting twist to the conversation.

It is already known that Yami Gautam has shot a special appearance for the sequel, while Akshaye Khanna will return in flashback portions. The biggest unanswered question, however, remains the identity of “Bade Sahab.” The mysterious name was repeatedly mentioned in tense scenes by Sanjay Dutt’s SP Chaudhary Aslam and Arjun Rampal’s ISI Major Iqbal. In a crucial moment, Ranveer Singh’s character even scribbles the name into his diary as his next big target after Rehman Dakait. Yet, the film deliberately kept his true identity hidden.
Now, as per the current cast listing of Dhurandhar: The Revenge on Letterboxd, Emraan Hashmi is reportedly set to play Bade Sahab. While there has been no official confirmation from the makers, the rumour alone has sparked massive excitement online. Netizens are calling it a powerful casting choice and saying the sequel already feels bigger. Many feel Emraan would bring the perfect intensity and unpredictability to such a shadowy character.

At the same time, a section of fans has urged caution, pointing out that Letterboxd listings can be edited and may not always be reliable.
With the film slated to release on March 19, anticipation is clearly at an all time high. Whether Emraan Hashmi truly steps into the mysterious role of Bade Sahab remains to be seen, but until the makers confirm it, the speculation and excitement are only going to grow stronger.
