Jackie Shroff continues his advocacy for a greener future with Mitti Ki Awaaz, an initiative designed to take his environmental vision forward by actively engaging young people in meaningful dialogue and action. Known for consistently speaking about sustainability and ecological responsibility, Shroff believes that real change must begin with the generation that will inherit the planet.
Sharing his thoughts, Jackie Shroff said, “If the future belongs to the youth, they have to step in to shoulder the responsibility of a greener tomorrow. Today, the responsibility belongs to them, the planet must be shaped with them, and it’s our duty to clean up our mess. Today’s generation has to be aware of what destruction is being left behind. Mitti Ki Awaaz raises an initiative by actively involving the voices of today – not just speaking to them.”
The first edition of Mitti Ki Awaaz will be hosted at PP Savani University in Surat. The organising committee plans to dedicate day three of the university’s annual college festival entirely to environmental awareness and action. The event aims to merge culture and consciousness through panel discussions, comedy with a social perspective, and a music concert designed to bring collective energy to the cause.
The initiative is structured to reflect its message in practice. Organisers are implementing eco-friendly and low-waste measures across planning and production to ensure the event aligns with its sustainability goals. Students are not just attendees but collaborators, volunteers and active contributors shaping the direction of the programme.
In addition, the organisers are partnering with Heartfulness to support sapling plantation drives, ensuring that conversations around sustainability translate into tangible environmental action. By combining awareness, participation and implementation, Mitti Ki Awaaz seeks to move beyond symbolic gestures and inspire real impact.
Rooted in community participation and practical change, Mitti Ki Awaaz is positioning itself as the beginning of a youth-led environmental movement, carrying Jackie Shroff’s long-standing green mission into the hands of the next generation.
